Challenger Interview

A completion interview from a challenger who finished the 92.5 km circular route in 5 days and 9 hours.

The interview gives the challenge useful credibility: a real route, real timing, real hard sections, and a walker explaining where Olympus surprised him. It also keeps the less-familiar west and south sides of the mountain in the spotlight.

Lessons From Completion

The route from Petrostrouga toward Apostolidis through Barbalas Ridge stood out as one of the hardest and most impressive sections. The Christaki-Salatoura-Agios Antonios-Migotzidis side, through Flambouro and Kitros, showed Olympus from a wilder angle than the classic Prionia approaches.
