The 12 Refuge Challenge
One passport, twelve shelters, twelve stamps, and no time limit: complete Olympus in the way your mountain experience allows.
The challenge is simple to understand and hard to earn. Visit the twelve shelter checkpoints, collect the stamps in the hiking passport, and carry a record of the route, the weather, the decisions, and the moments that made the mountain yours.
Official challenge route
The official route line has not been published yet. The planner and map remain available for private route drafting.
Hiking Passport
The passport includes route information and space to record the experience. Buying or carrying the passport is the start of the stamp challenge: every shelter visit gets marked in the middle pages.
Twelve Stamps
The stamp is the proof of arrival. Organised refuges hold stamps at reception; emergency shelters may hold stamps inside the building. If a stamp is missing or a shelter is closed, a selfie with the shelter and the challenge hashtags can preserve the proof.
Completion And Recognition
There is no time limit for completing all twelve stamps and earning the Hero of Olympus 12 Refuge Trail certificate. Stronger continuous attempts carry medal recognition: gold for all twelve in one uninterrupted hike, silver for two hikes, bronze within one year of the first stamp.
Special 12RT Map
The special 12RT map and passport sit together: route, elevation, difficulty, shelters, proof, and memory. Digital route exports will appear when the official line is ready.
